During the emergency, drastic change of life accompanied by several kinds of human rights abuse is too much to handle and eventually they end up developing psychological problems. The project sought to address this problem through: Community Mobilization and Awareness Creation on PSS in 6 IDPs Settlements; training of local networks (community leaders, youth representatives, religious leaders and women groups) on psychosocial support as well as distribution of IEC materials with PSS/women peace and security messages. Over 3368 people in Elwak district directly benefited from the intervention.
