The main project’s objective was to provide emergency lifesaving food vouchers to 1830 households (totalling 10980 persons of which more than 60% are female) affected by drought, conflicts and the rising cost of food in six locations of Elwak district in Gedo region, for three months. Each beneficiary household received a monthly ration which included: Maize (50kgs); Vegetable oil (4lts); Beans (8kgs); Rice (40kgs); and Sugar (4kgs).
